Music Review: Satyameva Jayate (Hindi)
Composer(s): Arko Pravo Mukherjee, Rochak Kohli, Sajid-Wajid, Tanishk Bagchi

Remix man Tanishk Bagchi strikes again, this time with a rework of Nadeem-Shravan's Dilbar, giving it a pronounced Arabic spin that's quite catchy. Naveen's flute in particular is an interesting addition. Sajid-Wajid's Tajdar-E-Haram too is not without its middle-east influences, but coasts along predictable lines, even as the composer duo try as much to enliven it with a punchy outro. With Tulsi Kumar for company, Atif Aslam almost makes us forget he even sang Selfish with the pleasant Rochak Kohli-tuned Paniyon Sa, and in Arko's Tere Jaisa, the composer himself goes behind the mic alongside Tulsi Kumar (ah, this is what happens when you happen to be the daughter of a music label owner!) for a soft guitary melody that's accompanied by a beautiful sprinkle of shehnai, harmonium and tabla. Refreshing is not the word I would associate with Satyameva Jayate's music, but it's not bad either. Make of it what you will.
