Kanne Thaai Malare scores on all counts: from Shaan Rahman's incredibly ambient arrangements to Vineeth Sreenivasan's splendid rendition, the pretty melody has everything going for it. Vineeth gets to sing Rasathi too, which he does beautifully, with Liya Susan Verghese lending pitch-perfect vocal accompaniment to the stunning melody. The tune, for its part, alternates smoothly between strings, flutes and soft percussion, punctuated by an utterly gorgeous interlude. Anne Amie renders beautifully the short, serene semi-classical piece Aanandhame, while Megha Josekutty sounds flawless in the captivating devotional composition Endhe Kanna, the song once again benefitting greatly from an ear-pleasing Vidyasagar'ish orchestration that's breathtakingly exquisite. Kripaakari Devi begins on an almost feverish note, with kanjira and synths playing in the background, before the chenda and drums kick in, even as Mithun Jayaraj does a brilliant job rendering the devotional tune. Shaan Rahman wows with an astounding score in Aravindante Athidhikal.
