Music Review: Race 3 (Hindi)
Composer(s): Gurinder Seagal, JAM8, Kiran Kamath, Meet Bros, Shivai Vyas, Vicky-Hardik, Vishal Mishra

Too many cooks spoil the broth, so goes the saying, and while Race 3 doesn't quite thankfully reach there, it's an eminently forgettable one. Perhaps fleetingly enjoyable at best. What a shame. Vishal Mishra manages to turn a bunch of good tunes (Selfish, I Found Love), only to all go waste, thanks to atrocious, cringe-worthy lyrics from Salman Khan. Atif Aslam, for his part, does complete justice to the song that doesn't give him as much to explore his talents to the fullest extent. (Give me a Pehli Nazar Mein any day!) Meet Bros' Heeriye, on the other hand, is something I wouldn't mind listening to. It's not that great or exciting of a dance number, but it gets the job done. And it's quite catchy too. Shivai Vyas doubles up as the composer and singer for Ek Galti in what's an appositely poignant melody, and as far as debuts go, Shivai's is one to watch out for. Race 3 is bland and formulaic, a perfect embodiment of a product coming out of an entertainment factory where average-ness is venerated and commerce, over art.
