Listen: Max Richter's "The Blue Notebooks" (15th Anniversary Reissue)

Contemporary classical composer Max Richter re-released his 2003 masterpiece The Blue Notebooks last month with new arrangements, remixes, orchestral improvisations and a previously unreleased track called A Catalogue of Afternoons. The album, a meditation on violence and war, still continues to be influential and provocative, its captivating instrumentals (like On the Nature of Daylight) becoming fodder for dozens of film soundtracks since its release.
