Listen: Salim-Sulaiman's "Mar Jawaan" (Hindi)

Brother composer duo Salim-Sulaiman may have gotten busy delivering background scores in Bollywood (of which Race 3 is one), but let's take a moment to appreciate the dulcet velvety beauty that's Mar Jawaan (2008), shall we? It's so fantastic a melody that I can't help stop listening to it. Admittedly the song does appear to be a little inspired by Algerian singer Cheb Khaled's Aïcha when it comes to its subtle strings-laden arrangements, but what you can't deny is its lush soundscape that gains tremendously from Shruti Pathak's top-notch rendition.
