Music Review: Anegan (Tamil)
Composer(s): Harris Jayaraj

Aathadi Aathadi has that unmistakable Innum Konjam vibe, partly accentuated by the folkish arrangements and the ghatam, but is still a wonderfully pleasant listen. And singers Bhavatharini, Tippu and Abhay Jodhpurkar give it the perfect vocal support. The brassy dappan koothu number Danga Maari Oodhari, despite its Anniyan hangover at places, is propped up to a great extent by the energetic vocals of Dhanush, Marana Gana Viji and Naveen Madhav, and Roja Kadale, in Shankar Mahadevan, Sunidhi Chauhan and Chinmayi's vocals, goes the techno way in what clearly sounds inspired by Kilimanjaro (Enthiran) for the most part. You Only Live Once's reggae style is passable, while Hariharan and Shakthisree Gopalan take care of the signature Harris melody Thodu Vaanam. Deivangal Ingae has Sriram Parthasarathy at his soulful best and the light breezy orchestration works quite well. Harris Jayaraj continues to rehash with Anegan, the results somehow fare a little better this time!
