Gnyabagam Varugiradha is a pulse-pounding semi-classical update to the Arabic original, exuding grandeur in its sweeping orchestral arrangements and superlative singing by Theeran Da-duo Aravind Srinivas and Sarath Santhosh. Its EDM version is exactly that, a mid-tempo track complete with punchy electronic beats and a synth-heavy bedrock that brims with energy and style. Naanaagiya Nadhimoolamae is good old Ghibran template and a beautiful portrayal of mother-son relationship (Ammavum Nee/ Appavum Nee, goes the lyric at one point, not so subtly harking back to Haasan's 1960 debut film Kalathur Kannamma and the famous song Ammavum Neeye) sung effortlessly by Kamal Haasan, Kaushiki Chakraborty and master Karthik. Saadhi Madham is no exception (doesn't the hook remind you of Tinga Tinga?), working splendidly as an ode to love in D. Sathyaprakash and Andrea Jeremiah's top-notch rendition. Mohamaad Ghibran serves a gripping, thematic soundtrack in his fourth collaboration with Sakalakala Vallavan Kamal Haasan.
