Listen: Nothing's "The Carpenter's Son"
Philly shoegaze quartet Nothing are gearing up to release their third studio album Dance on the Blacktop later this month, and today they have outed what's probably the last advance single after Zero Day and Blue Line Baby. Titled The Carpenter's Son, the song (about frontman Dominic Palermo growing up with his carpenter-addict father) is a eight-minute long lysergic trip, the swirling synths and electric bass morphing it into a serene, minimalist melody over a skeletal drumbeat.
