Listen: Yuvan Shankar Raja's "Nee Naan" (Tamil)

Ever since Peranbu came out, I have been listening to a lot of Yuvan Shankar Raja more than I would like to admit. Not that it's anything to be ashamed of. On the contrary, I only came away more impressed at the end of it all, blown away by how adeptly he moulds his father's lovely soundscapes to craft some of the most irresistible melodies I have heard in recent times. And nothing spells out Ilaiyaraaja like Nee Naan, where Yuvan relies on a symphonic strings-laden sound to conjure a lilting melody that's beautifully sung by S. P. B. Charan and Bhavatharini.
