Listen: Let's Eat Grandma's "Hot Pink" & "Whitewater"
With I'm All Ears, friends-turned-art pop duo Rosa Walton and Jenny Hollingworth, better known by the stage name Let's Eat Grandma, find their perfect match in SOPHIE, pushing the boundaries of pop in ways that's hyper-inventive and accessible, while delivering a catchy blend of indie rock, synthpop, psychedelia and dance music. Hot Pink, much like Immaterial, is an absolute ripper of a song and the album's clear showstopper, starting on a relatively subdued note before the metallic clangs and sounds of broken glass kick in over the girls' masterful delivery. It's music at its trippy best. I can't wait to see where they go next.
