Heavy Rotation: Gurukiran, Rohan-Rohan, Srinivasa Sarma Rani & More

A roundup of some of my new favourite songs across Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu...

Rendu Kalla Ninda (Rajugadu), Andhamaina Chandhamaama (Tej I Love You) - I am getting a feeling that Gopi Sundar is biting off more than he could chew by signing up films left, right and centre, but then you also get these unassuming gems.

Nee Yaaro Nanage (Amma I Love You) - It's such a pleasure listening to Mahalakshmi Iyer after what feels like eternity, and I wish we could get to hear her more often. Props are due for Gurukiran as well for composing a lovely melody in Nee Yaaro...

Neramayi, Kadavathoru Thoni, Mruthu Mandahasam (Poomaram) - Where Chithra, Karthik and Shreya Ghoshal take turns immersing the listener in an ocean of bliss!

Kougillalo, Avuna Nena (Ala) - Chinmayi's rendition of Kougillalo is utterly enchanting, while Karthik ably complements Srinivasa Sarma Rani's charming arrangements in Avuna Nena.

Nilaamazha, Sneha Poompadathe (Ningal Camera Nireekshanathilaanu) - Singer-composer Arun Raj makes quite an impression in Ningal..., with Sudeep Kumar sounding almost like Yesudas in Nilaamazha, while the latter's son croons beautifully the pleasant rustic-flavoured melody Sneha Poompadathe.

Tu Pari (Bucket List) - Music duo Rohan-Rohan recently made their Bollywood debut with Sanju, and in Tu Pari they score a delectable melody ably supported by Rohan Pradhan and Shreya Ghoshal on the vocals.

Minsarey Minsarey (Vijetha) - A waltz'y tune with a dash of folk from Harshavardhan Rameshwar and flawlessly sung by Karthik.

Hariye Jawar Gaan, Aaloshyo, Jaago Uma, Ure Jaak (Uma) - Pretty doesn't quite cut it, for Anupam Roy's guitary melodies are that beautiful to listen to.
