Tech Brief: Facebook Sunsets Moves, Hello and tbh

As Facebook continues to benefit handsomely from Instagram's purchase and to a lesser extent, from WhatsApp, the social network's other lesser-known acquisitions haven't been so fruitful. And hence to no one's surprise it's shutting them down. Moves, the health and fitness tracking app it acquired in 2014, Hello, the dialler replacement app for Android it launched in 2015, and tbh, the anonymous teen-focussed positivity app built around multiple choice questions it bought late last year, are all going away due to low usage, the company announced today (in a post aptly titled "Hello. tbh, We're Moving On"), adding, "we need to prioritize our work so we don't spread ourselves too thin. And it's only by trial and error that we'll create great social experiences for people." So long, goodbye!
