Music Review: Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum (Malayalam)
Composer(s): Vidyasagar
Film: Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum
Time and again Vidyasagar proves that he reserves his best for Malayalam. Otta Thumbi is vintage Vidyasagar material, very much tuneful and enchanting, and fabulously supported by Shankar Mahadevan and K. S. Chithra. Cheru Cheru (Afsal) is pacy alright, but the tune feels out of place and is passable at best. Franco does a good job in the percussion-driven Ilaiyaraaja'esque Hai Hai while the short Pullipulikal (Varsha Renjith) is more of a situational track. That leaves us with Kootti Muttiya, another fantastic Ilaiyaraaja-styled melody featuring superb vocals from Najim Arshad and Sujatha. Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum altogether sees Vidyasagar in competent form!
