Music Review: Dhadak (Hindi)
Composer(s): Ajay-Atul

Pehli Baar (Yad Lagla) and the infectiously foot-tapping Zingaat are virtually identical to their Marathi counterparts, except for the Hindi lyrics that is, and while it was always going to be tough beating the Ilaiyaraaja'esque orchestral splendour that's Sairat Zaala Ji, the title song comes a close second, its use of strings bringing it much closer to Yad Lagla. Vaara Re too continues on the grand, orchestral sound, but with a subtle trance-like electronic flourish that complements the imposing tune very well. Dhadak is a near-perfect adaptation of Sairat and that can only be a good thing. After all, why fix something that isn't broken?
