Listen: Mickey J. Meyer's "Avunanna" (Telugu)

After listening to Avunanna, I couldn't help but realise Mickey J. Meyer operates more or less in the same sonic terrain as Shaan Rahman. There is an airy feel-good charm to their arrangements that makes them easily likeable and soothing, not to mention a pronounced "Bollywood" vibe that's unmissable. What makes Avunanna even better is its splendorous soundbed evocative of A. R. Rahman in its ethereal blend of strings and tabla, even as Naresh Iyer and Shweta Pandit complement it beautifully with their wonderful vocals. Have it a go below -
