Music Review: Mankatha

The title song Vilayadu Mankatha (and its instrumental theme) is every bit punchy, set against racing electronic heartbeats, while in Nee Naan, Yuvan Shankar Raja crafts a lilting Ilaiyaraaja'esque melody that gains immensely from S. P. B. Charan and Bhavatharini's vocals. But the rest of Mankatha is a string of middling tunes that fails to rise above the ordinary. What a pity!
