Listen: Troye Sivan & Jónsi’s "Revelation"
Troye Sivan just impressed one and all with Bloom last month but he is already back with a new song for which he has teamed up with Sigur Rós' Jónsi. To be featured in the upcoming Joel Edgerton-directed film Boy Erased starring Lucas Hedges as the son of a Baptist pastor who is outed to his parents at the age of 19 and is forced to choose between attending a gay conversion therapy program or else risk getting outcast by his own family and friends, the piano-led song is as gentle as it's affecting, beautifully capturing the essence of coming out and feeling liberated in the truest sense. "Ever I roam/ Ever I roam/ Further from home/ Your hand I know, now," sings Sivan, who himself has a supporting role as a fellow gay man enrolled in the program. Listen below -
