Listen: Mary Lattimore's "Polly Of The Circus"

It's good that we're getting to hear more of Mary Lattimore, because I cannot get enough of her music. Last year, she teamed with Superchunk's Mac McCaughan for New Rain Duets, and followed it up with a 15-minute long drifting, airborne instrumental entitled Quintana. Lattimore's first composition for 2020 comes courtesy of Adult Swin Singles. Called Polly Of The Circus, it finds the experimental harpist exploring what's an unusually pretty soundscape that shifts through several different passages before eventually ending up in a twinkly ambient wash. Simply breathtaking!
