Lion Animoji in iOS 11.3 (Source: Apple) |
Tech giant Apple today released first beta of
iOS 11.3 to registered developers, with new features like Business Chat in iMessages, new Animojis, Health Records in Apple Health, improved search in Apple News, while reintroducing iCloud message sync, in addition to adding an option for turning off controversial battery throttling in iPhone 6 and later. Reportedly
iBooks is getting a major overhaul too. But what may be lost in fine print is this small but important feature that's buried deep down in the press release: "Apple Music will soon be the home for music videos. Users can stream all the music videos they want without being interrupted by ads. They can also watch the hottest new videos, the classics or ones from their favorite artists back-to-back in new music video playlists." Got it? Users can watch music videos they want
without being interrupted by ads. If this isn't a sly dig against YouTube, I don't know what is!
