Listen: Hiphop Tamizha's "Karakudi Ilavarasi" (Tamil)

The duo of Hiphop Tamizha, who burst into film scene with Sundar. C's Aambala three years ago, may not have sustained their interesting career beginnings (Meesaya Murukku, for all the craze it unleashed last year, sounded more like an auto-tuned mess), but what they cannot be faulted for is their knowhow when it comes to composing absurdly addictive tunes like Kannala Kannala, Kadhale Kadhale and Neethoney. Karakudi Ilavarasi, from Kalakalappu 2, now joins that list, featuring a catchy thavil-backed arrangement and top-notch vocals from composer-singer Jassie Gift and Sudharshan Ashok.
