Tech Brief: Google.com Updated With Material Design 2.0 Look on Desktop Web

Unless you have been living under a rock, it's impossible for you to have not noticed Google's steady updates to its apps and web properties with Material Design elements. Last September, the tech giant refreshed the search results page on desktop web to the new design, introducing a pill-shaped persistent search bar on top of the screen and rounded knowledge graph cards. Today, the visual refresh has landed on home pages of Google.com and Google Images, swapping the rectangular search bars for a consistent pill-shaped look. Check it out -
