Listen: Palmistry's "Water"

My new addiction is here, and it comes from Londoner Benjy Keating. His hyper-specific take on dancehall yielded Pagan three years ago, a hypnotic cut that had Keating and his nearly whispery croon harmonising over sparse, pulsing beats. Palmistry, as he goes by in music circles, has now teamed up with the supremely talented SOPHIE for a new song called Water (to be part of his sophomore album Afterlife), an impossibly buoyant dancehall piece stripped down to its bare essentials, driven by aqueous chord progressions and an occasional bass drum. Listen to the gently groovy banger, alongside Club Aso, Lifted and Sweetness -
