Listen: Cerrone's "Supernature" (Instrumental CLIMAX edit)
Music can take us to places of extreme euphoria, or make us feel right at home. It can ease our minds, make us laugh, and help us express feelings that words cannot. But nothing explains my newfound craze for this synth-laden rework of Marc Cerrone's iconic Supernature, which I have been listening to incessantly ever since I watched Gaspar Noé's visual acid trip of a film Climax a few days ago. The transition from subtle disco to a faster, beat-heavy production is a minor change, but it injects the track with a new vitality, bringing a manic energy that's at once ebullient and invigorating, taking the music a few more inches off the ground with each bar, lifting the celebration into the stratosphere. It's the catchiest instrumental to end all catchy instrumentals. Give it a listen below -
