Music Review: Badla (Hindi)
Composer(s): Amaal Mallik, Anupam Roy, Clinton Cerejo

Armaan Malik's pleasant vocals cannot hide the crushing familiarity of Kyun Rabba (tuned by Amaal Mallik), a done to death qawwali piece, and Tum Na Aaye, despite a heartfelt rendition from K.K., rides on a rock base that's by and large evocative of Pritam's tunes from the 2000's which K.K. himself has been a part of. But Anupam Roy's Badla is an interesting spin on the revenge motif (lyrics are by Manoj Yadav and Anupam Roy), as is Clinton Cerejo's Aukaat, delivering a mighty catchy pop-rap that's backed well by Cerejo, Amit Mishra and Amitabh Bachchan. After TE3N and Kahaani 2, Badla is a mixed bag.
