Music Review: Natasaarvabhowma (Kannada)
Composer(s): D. Imman

Close on the heels of Viswasam, D. Imman returns again, this time in Kannada. The best thing about Natasaarvabhowma is that it's an opportunity for the composer to step outside his trademark comfort zone. And step out he does, but the results are at best passable. Shreya Ghoshal makes her presence felt without fail in the pleasant strings-laden melody Yaaro Naanu, which Imman couches amidst a lovely thavil-nadaswaram arrangement. Tajaa Samachara works even better, dressed up with retro bursts of guitars (Keba Jeremiah) and sax that Jithin Raj and Vandana Srinivasan pull off fabulously. The rest is disappointingly blah, but the highs make up for it. Sort of.
