Listen: Apparat's "DAWAN"

My first exposure to Sascha Ring, better known as Apparat, happened in 2017 with Goodbye. The ethereal sounding melody, taken from his fourth studio album The Devil's Walk, became synonymous with the German Netflix series Dark, while Ring himself was busy with Moderat, his collaborative effort with German electronic music duo Modeselektor. Now more than six years later, the Berlin-based producer has announced his solo return with a new full-length LP5 (3/22), simultaneously giving us a first taste of the album with DAWAN, an ambient tune accented by frenetic beats, spacey synths, and a tight, iridescent guitar line.
