Music Review: Kalakalappu 2 (Tamil)

Hiphop Tamizha appear to be in no mood to give up on EDM anytime soon, but with Kalakalappu 2 the duo may be in danger of pushing it a little too far, sonically mining the same terrain for what's the zillionth time to the point of exhaustion. The one clear standout in this mind-numbing morass is Karakudi Ilavarasi — an ultra-catchy melody where the composer duo infuse traditional percussion, shehnai, dhol and classical elements to fantastic effect, with Jassie Gift fabulously matching the tune step for step. Karakudi... salvages Kalakalappu!

Couldn’t have summed it up better myself. Anyways, what are your thoughts on Aami (Malayalam) by M. Jayachandran & debutant Taufiq Qureshi? I saw MusicAloud’s extremely positive review on it, so I’m just curious to know about your opinion on it.
