Listen: Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me a River"

So is Justin Timberlake's new album about his new-found domestic bliss a complete misfire? Sure the production is slick, but does that make it any different from other big ticket releases we've witnessed thus far? Man of the Woods, like his previous outings, finds Timberlake leaning back on soul and funk, and a good dose of country-pop (Flannel), but is for the most part misguided, uninspired and dull (and his incoherent ramblings on wokeness doesn't it help either!), never for once raising above the ordinary (Montana and Breeze Off the Pond sound more like The Weeknd knock-offs). Which is a shame because, I really do like the stuff he put out ages ago and they are just as fresh as they were back then, notably Cry Me a River, My Love, What Goes Around... Comes Around, Mirrors, Tunnel Vision, Not a Bad Thing, and of course, the iconic Bye Bye Bye.
