Listen: Floating Points' "Anasickmodular"

Manchester-based electronic musician and neuroscientist Sam Shepherd, who goes by the musical moniker Floating Points, is making a return after more than a three year absence since releasing Kuiper EP, not to mention his excellent debut Elaenia. We've already heard LesAlpx and Last Bloom from the upcoming full-length Crush, and now we've one more taste of the record before it officially comes out later this month. Titled Anasickmodular, the trance-inducing otherworldly piece is characterised by skittering synths and ever-changing drumbeat patterns, turning the instrumental into a thing of ambient beauty.
