Listen: Anna Meredith's "Paramour"
As a master crafter of eclectic electronic soundscapes suffused with syncopated beats and elements of classical music, acclaimed Scottish musician and classical composer Anna Meredith needs no introduction. Coming off a busy 2018 that saw her working with Bo Burnham on Eighth Grade to releasing a collaborative album with the Scottish ensemble called Anno, Meredith is back in the scene, announcing her sophomore project, FIBS, that acts as thematic follow-up to her 2016 stunner Varmints. The lead single, Paramour, is frantic yet hypnotic, living up to her trademark style in all its glory. The unique amalgamation of pulsating sounds and blistering rhythm changes is every bit scintillating and as innovative as we've come to expect from the composer. Give it a listen below -
