Listen: DIIV's "Skin Game"

Brooklyn-based DIIV are finally back. The shoegaze purveyors haven't put out any new material since their 2016 sophomore full-length Is the Is Are, not to mention project frontman Zachary Cole Smith, who went to rehab for drug addiction back in early 2017. All of that changes today with the arrival of Skin Game — and a new album Deceiver set for release later this October — a hazy opener that leans on their punk influences for a propulsive, distortion-heavy jam. ("I can't live like this anymore," goes the lyric at one point in a not so subtle nod to Smith's addiction problem.) Give it an earful below -
