Heavy Rotation: Jack Garratt, James Blake, Yeasayer & More

Kanye West finally releases his greatest album of all time, SWISH-turned-Waves-turned-The Life of Pablo...

Waste of breath, Take Your Time, Out of Mind, Healthy Moon (DIIV) - Now that DIIV's new album Is The Is Are is here, I'm really digging the intricate and catchy guitary melodies.

Make Me Like You (Gwen Stefani) - Gwen Stefani's retro-beach feels in Make Me Like You will make you like it, the song I mean!

Fire (Jack Garratt) - Fire, from British multi-instrumentalist Jack Garratt's upcoming debut album Phase, is the kind of song that manages to be chaotic, wild and serene all at once.

Modern Soul (James Blake) - This futuristic modern soul song is sheer perfection, and I don't want it to get over!

Baby Give Up On It (Junior Boys) - Ontario-based electronic outfit Junior Boys do what they do best in the catchy techno-pop number Baby Give Up On It.

Make It Work (Majid Jordan) - Canadian duo Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman released their self-titled debut album weeks back, and Make It Work, a groovy, kinetic dance-floor scorcher, is an effortless stand out.

Underwater, Braid, Mood, Hour, Even the Shadow (Porches) - Porches' Pool is an amorphous, free-flowing listen, the delicious synths propelling the album, song after song, making it an auditory experience nothing like you've heard before.

Consideration ft. SZA, Love on the Brain, Higher (Rihanna) - Rihanna's ANTI literally breaks free from all sort of expectations about what a pop album should be. It feels at times way too experimental, but after the opening high that's Consideration, where she implores the listener (or her NAVY) to let her grow up and do things her own way, ANTI truly takes off as it draws to a close, especially in the retro-styled Love on the Brain and the super-emotional Higher.

Bounty Hunters (Röyksopp) - The Star Wars-themed song is a punchy adrenaline rush; repeat listens guaranteed!

I Am Chemistry, Prophecy Gun (Yeasayer) - Amen & Goodbye is easily turning out to be one of my most-anticipated albums of 2016. Between I Am Chemistry's synth-laden sounds, interspersed by a choir-like vocal harmony, and Prophecy Gun's mesmerising electronic melody, I am truly hard-pressed choosing the best of the two. By the way, is it just me, or is there a Fleet Foxes vibe lurking somewhere? I am loving it, whatever it is!
