Music Review: Pokkiri Raja (Tamil)
Composer(s): D. Imman

Imman goes gruffy and grungy in Athuvutta (its Reprise version included) and Taaru Taara, but the prototypical kuthu tunes barely hold any interest beyond a listen. If the Waltzing Whistle: Theme is appositely waltz'y, the Celtic-Tamil folk fusion in Bubbly Bubbly turns out to be quite an engaging fare. Rain Rain Go Go is where Imman really scores, concocting a pleasant strings-laden melody, in addition to roping in a fantastic sounding Neeti Mohan and Varun Parandhaman to do the singing honours. But for that one song, Pokkiri Raja is pretty much the usual stuff you would expect from Imman.
