Listen: Now, Now's "Lonely Christmas"

Bradley Hale and KC Dalager of Now, Now returned with their first album in six years, Saved, which was one of my favorites from 2018. The Minneapolis duo quickly followed it up with a brand new track earlier this April called Enda — meaning "heart/center" in elvish — a brooding synth-coated rave banger adorned with sweeping atmospheric electronic soundscapes, building into an explosive percussion crescendo that feels sinister and seductive all at once. They were also a featuring act in Jai Wolf's Around the World from his full-length debut The Cure to Loneliness. Now, they're back right in time for Christmas with yet another synth-laced jam about getting lonely during the holidays (haven't we all been there?) that nods to their gauzy dream-pop roots.
