Listen: Grimes' "My Name Is Dark"

Claire Elise Boucher is gearing up to release Miss Anthropocene, the much-awaited follow-up to Art Angels, coming February, and while that's a little far off, the Canadian singer has been giving us a taste of the upcoming album with a steady stream of airy, futuristic singles such as Violence and So Heavy I Fell Through The Earth. It's no surprise, then, the cyberpunk influences continue to make their presence felt in Grimes' new song My Name is Dark — an appositely dark and psychedelic electro-thumper replete with ambient noise and gritty guitar riffs, even as it veers towards indie rock territory.
