Music Review: Rangasthalam (Telugu)
Composer(s): Devi Sri Prasad

Devi Sri Prasad, despite sticking largely to his comfort zone all through his discography, struck gold by repeatedly reworking his trademark tunes to his advantage. That by itself is not a problem. What instead is the boringness of it all. In Rangasthalam though, he attempts a route less taken, relying primarily on folk-tinged sounds and producing a soundtrack, that while not drastically different from his previous outings, is sufficiently engaging to warrant a one-time listen. Yentha Sakkagunnave is easily the highlight, oozing rustic charm thanks to its subtle percussion and effective singing by Devi Sri Prasad.
