Listen: Hoops' "Glad You Stayed"

Indiana dream-pop trio Hoops recently returned from what was supposed to be an indefinite hiatus with news of a second full-length album, Halo, set for release in October. First came the quietly groovy They Say followed by the hazy Fall Back. Now we're getting to hear another song, Glad You Stayed, an uptempo exercise in shoegaze that builds towards a fuzzy crescendo. Update on July 31: Hoops have officially broken up again, this time for good, citing sexual abuse allegations against a former member of the band, as well as frontman Drew Auscherman's "own personal issues of emotional abuse towards partners and friends." Their upcoming album Halo, which was scheduled to arrive in October, will now no longer release.
