Music Review: Qaidi Band (Hindi)
Composer(s): Amit Trivedi

I am India's repetitive hook is catchy, if nothing else, in addition to working well in its Escape version partly owing to a propulsive percussion it features. Amit Trivedi's signature melodic rock flourishes rear their presence in Hulchul, Junooni and Udanchoo, making them punchy listens while they last. Junooni in particular is a keeper. Jag Mag is underscored by an a cappella'esque beat-boxing layer and a tune that's consistently engaging. The santoor and flutes adorning Phir Nayi and Phir Wohi form a lovely undercurrent to the beautiful rock-laden melodies, even as Poshampa goes for a catchy retro vibe that comes alive in its sprightly arrangement. Amit Trivedi, with Arijit Singh and Yashita Sharma for vocal company, delivers interesting sounds with Qaidi Band.
