Music Review: Neruppuda (Tamil)
Composer(s): Sean Roldan

Sean Roldan whips up a cheery melody in Aalangiliyae that brings to mind A. R. Rahman's compositions from the early 90's. He sings it well too, with Shweta Mohan giving him pitch-perfect company. But Karukku Kallangolu and Andha Madiri Ponna sound more Anirudh than Sean, both exuding a casual dappan koothu vibe, even if the latter works better in Ravi G's vocals. Sean's earthy rendition goes hand in hand with the plaintive strings-laden Enga Pona, while Blaaze-sung rap number Iruda Poruda sees the composer attempting a Neruppu Da, which coincidentally is also this film's title (albeit worded slightly differently). Coming after the high that's Power Paandi, Neruppuda is a step-down for Sean Roldan.
