Music Review: Arima Nambi (Tamil)

The percussion wizardry in Yaaro Yaar Aval (Runa Rizvi, Shabbir Kumar) is very much noteworthy in an otherwise okay'ish song. Idhayam En Idhayam is melodious tune-wise but Sivamani's choice of Javed Ali backfires big time. With its Latin influences, Naanum Unnil Paadhi works well to some extent, as Shreya Ghoshal confidently croons the interestingly orchestrated Neeyae Neeyae with water splashes being used as a musical backdrop. The Theme is composer's show all the way, the thumping beats packing in the much-needed punch. Drummer Sivamani's is an average solo debut, barring his trademark touches.
