Listen: Tim Hecker's "You Never Were"

Tim Hecker's new album Anoyo will be out in a month's time (5/10), and the Montreal experimental electronic artist has surfaced back with a new song called You Never Were, more than a month after he shared the enigmatic lead single That World. The eight-and-a-half minute long fascinating piece is characteristically minimalist and spacey, but also magnificently ambient in its interplay between traditional Japanese gagaku and electronic sounds.
