Listen: Mac DeMarco's "All Of Our Yesterdays"
Duncan-born indie singer/songwriter Mac DeMarco's hotly anticipated new album Here Comes The Cowboy will be out in a month's time, and if the pre-release singles are anything to go by, we may be in for a treat. Nobody (the same title as Mitski's song!), the lead single that came out last month, was a warm, guitar-driven melody, while managing to convey a sense of hopelessness and regret. All Of Our Yesterdays is just as dreamy and wistful, with DeMarco striking a more optimistic tone (All of our yesterdays have gone/ And that don't mean your dream is over/ And that don't make your heart beat slower/ Such a shame to complain) in the most gentle of ways over a guitar-driven soundbed.
