Apple Acquires Automation App Workflow
Workflow, since its debut in 2014, has been a powerful utility for iPhones and iPads. By letting users seamlessly link apps and specific functions within apps to create automated workflows (sort of like IFTTT but different), the tool appeared to be a godsend to compensate for iOS's lack of big productivity features. It even went on to win the Apple Design Award for 2015. But in a surprise (or perhaps not) move, the Cupertino-based tech giant, as if recognizing Workflow's this very useful aspect, announced today that it's acquiring it. What's more, the app is now free for download from the App Store. My only hope is that it gets integrated further deeply into iOS!
