Listen: Ed Sheeran's "Galway Girl"
Following + (plus) and x (multiply), here comes ÷ (divide) from Ed Sheeran. And you know what? I like Shape of You as much as I dislike it. I like it for the fact that it's subtly bouncy without being overt and in-your-face, but it's lyrics, God, I can't tolerate it. The whole album though is a slickly assembled piece of acoustic pop music. And perhaps a tad too long. But then there is Galway Girl, a bizarre fusion of rap and Celtic folk music, a blend quite catchy and yet so unlike the songs we have heard from the The A Team Sing-er. But for these two songs, the album is all too familiar. Have a go of my Ed Sheeran essentials, including Sing, Don't, The A Team, Give Me Love and Lego House.
