Music Review: Maya (Tamil)
Composer(s): Ron Yohann

Chinmayi sounds unlike her usual self yet fantastic in the intriguing rock-based Aayiram Aayiram, while Shweta Mohan's lilting rendition takes centre-stage in the serene and ultra-minimally arranged Naanae Varuvaen. Shakthisree Gopalan gets to croon the third solo Thoonga Kangal, an Ilaiyaraaja-styled lovely melody backed by a neat assortment of guitars and soft drums. The mesmerising instrumentals, Hope & Despair and Always A Woman, build upon Thoonga Kangal, as the soundtrack ends on a dramatic note with the immensely atmospheric Dark Hours. Ron Yohann makes a supremely impressive debut with Maya!
