Listen: Bijibal's "Ore Kina" (Malayalam)

Colour me surprised! All this time, I had all but assumed Balram Iyer (of Nee Thaan En Desiya Geetham and Kaatrin Mozhi fame) had only sung three songs in Malayalam: Paikkurumbiye Meykkum (Gramaphone), Pakalonnu (Neelathamara) and Poonkattey (Jomonte Suvisheshangal), all of which were produced by Vidyasagar. Snuck in between the latter two is a little-known song called Ore Kina from the 2011 Malayalam movie Sevenes. It's composed by Bijibal Maniyil, but it may as well have come from Vidyasagar himself, for the influences are all there. The reethigowla raga-based composition sees the singer joined by Anuradha Sriram, both of whom have no trouble coursing through the octaves in the euphonious melody replete with classical influences.
