Listen: Gagan Baderiya's "Hoo Malege" (Kannada)

In his composing debut Malgudi Days, Gagan Baderiya, a frequent collaborator with Prashant Pillai (notably in Wazir and Double Barrel), concocts an ethereal melody entitled Hoo Malege that's as serene as it's beautiful, and accompanied by a perfect sprinkle of flute, ghatam, shehnai and tabla, with singers Siddhartha Belmannu and Sruthy Sasidharan coursing through the octaves in a track replete with classical influences.
