Music Review: Rustom (Hindi)
Composer(s): Ankit Tiwari, Arko Pravo Mukherjee, Jeet Gannguli, Raghav Sachar

Tere Sang Yaara, set to tune by Arko, is riddled with familiar sounds and a familiar tune, but a lovely listen it is, with Atif Aslam putting his best foot forward. Its reprise variant, sung by Arko himself, turns out to be a weaker affair in comparison, even if the arrangements are decidedly more subdued. Raghav Sachar's theme-like retro number Rustom Vahi (Don's Aaj Ki Raat anyone?) appears in... wait for it... four different versions, a needless overkill, while Ankit Tiwari stays within his comfort zone in Tay Hai and the serene Shreya Ghoshal-sung Jab Tum Hote Ho. Jeet Gannguli likewise sticks to his signature sounds in the sweeping melodies Dekha Hazaro Dafaa and Dhal Jaun Main, but the result is pretty engaging nevertheless. Sometimes being predictable can be good enough, because we exactly know the kind of music we can expect from them, and this is one of those times.
