Music Review: Special Chabbis (Hindi)
Tujh Sang Lagee, despite a familiar tune, is very much enjoyable and more because of K. K. who does an awesome job of the rendition. Mujh Mein Tu, appearing in two versions - sung separately by Keerthi Sagathia and the composer himself, is characterized by a great tune and is aided by an equally brilliant orchestration. Bappi Lahiri infuses the much-needed energy to the short and fast Dharpakad while Kaun Mera is the pick of the album. The mellifluous sedate melody is an absolute gem to hear in the voices of Chaitra Ambadipudi, Papon and Sunidhi Chauhan. Himesh's solo offering Gore Mukhde Pe Zulfa Di Chaava (Aman Trikha, Shabab Sabri, Shreya Ghoshal) employs harmonium splendidly (much like Long Drive in Khiladi 786) and gets your feet tapping. Special Chabbis doesn't break new grounds, but is immensely satisfying. M. M. Keeravani (aka M. M. Kreem in Bollywood) should do more Hindi films!
