Music Review: Rani Padmini (Malayalam)
Composer(s): Bijibal

Varu Pokaam Parakkaam oozes charm, thanks to Bijibal's endearing arrangements and a sweet rendition by the kids Shwetha Menon, Devadutt and Lola. The full-blown Tamil track Puthu Puthu is a fairly standard synth affair, but the soundtrack's centrepieces are Mizhimalarukal and Oru Makaranilavay, the former sounding utterly captivating and almost ethereal in Sayanora's whispery vocals, and the latter, a flawlessly tuned (predominantly featuring flute and sarangi) semi-classical piece sung beautifully by Chithra Arun. Bijibal strikes yet again with a splendorous Rani Padmini!
